French Toddler Teacher

Kade is in her fourth year at the ISC and assisted across all early years' grades. As a native French speaker from Rwanda, Kade has been a real asset to our program and both of her children are in the French Program at the ISC. Having just completed her Associates degree in Early Childhood, Kade will be co-teaching alongside Ms. Lisa in the French Toddler class for the upcoming year. 

French Toddler Teacher

Lisa is heading into her 5th year at the ISC. She has taught across the school in multiple age groups and across both French and Spanish Teams.  She has spent the last 2 years in Toddlers. Last year, she was our Spanish Toddler Lead Teacher and the previous year she was a  French Toddler teacher. Lisa brings with her not only a wealth of experience but a magnificent sense of humor and deep love for our Toddler age range. 

French Preschool Teacher/Assistant Head of School

Sybil was born and raised in France. She earned a Master's Degree in sociology from the University of Paris, and completed teacher training at the IUFM (Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maitres) of Bordeaux in 1996. She taught in schools in Paris for 7 years before joining ISC as the French JK/Kindergarten Head Teacher in the fall of 2003. In that time, she has become a master designer of interdisciplinary, child-guided projected-based learning experiences.  When not working, Sybil loves to cook and experiment with new recipes.

French Preschool Assistant

Azin is a native Farsi speaker but attending a French Immersion school as a child. After her time as a Primary Educator, she also helped as a translator at the International Rescue Committee. She is also an ESL educator and holds many certifications including English Language Learner Certifications (Levels I & II) and a variety of related courses for instruction in the English Language for ELL’s and native born US students.

French Junior Kindergarten Teacher

Kelilah grew up in Northern Virginia and started learning French in middle school, which is also where she met her husband! She loves living in Charlottesville with her son and daughter. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in French Education and her Master’s in French Linguistics from the University of Alabama, and has been teaching French all across the US for the past 10 years. She also studied in Tours, France for three summers. She is excited to support your children in the classroom!
