The International School of Charlottesville is a leader in foreign language immersion education for young children.

We offer French and Spanish language immersion programs for students in Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten.  Our special Toddler Program helps develop a lifelong love of learning and provides an introduction to multiple languages and cultures to our youngest students (ages 2-3).  The ability to speak French or Spanish prior to school entry is not required - for parents or children.  The ISC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a mark of the highest quality of education and care for young children, regardless of the language of instruction.

The ISC offers optional, flexible Extra Care covering from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm in a variety of formats.  Our After School programs include fun activities, clubs and classes, and our exciting Summer Camps introduce French and Spanish to children from across Central Virginia.

Our school is a place of learning and sharing, and we actively seek partnerships with the larger Charlottesville community to share cultures, learn from others, and give back.
