Foreign Language Introduction classes for ages 2-3, with an introduction to both French and Spanish language.
In our toddler program, instruction occurs in English while introducing French and Spanish vocabulary and associated cultures through activities, stories, and song. Teachers emphasize emotional and social interaction as well as the development of self-help skills, with the goal of instilling an early love of learning.
Our toddler classes are limited to 6 children for each teacher, and maximum attention is given to the individual child to encourage growth and a comfortable pace. Toddler class teachers generally work in teams of 2 with up to 12 children.
Teachers are in regular communication with parents regarding intellectual, emotional, and physical development, and work as partners to support healthy eating, sleeping/nap, and potty-training efforts. Children are not required to be toilet-trained for entrance in the toddler class.
All students attend 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Families may also select naptime (12:30-3 pm) or choose to participate in the full-day program (9 am to 5:30 pm). Morning Care (8-9 am) can be added to any program. If space allows, drop-in care for the afternoon and full-day programs is available for half-day students.
Five day, three day (Mon-Wed-Fri), and two day (Tues-Thurs) schedules available with any of the above time selections.
In keeping compliant with our licensing requirements, we are not able to care for children under the age of 2. We do occasionally allow children to start a few weeks into the school year following their 2nd birthday.
