Spanish Preschool Teacher

Part time salaried position with benefits
Hours:  8:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Thursday
             8:00am-3:00pm Friday

Job Description:  The teacher will work with the class's second teacher in developing and implementing a developmentally-appropriate and individualized curriculum for the students.  He/she will also assist with student observation and assessment and identify and prepare materials to support the academic and language curricula.  The teacher will be committed to only speaking Spanish in the classroom.  English must be used only rarely.

Qualifications: Native or native-like fluency in Spanish and a working knowledge of English.  Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher.  Successful candidates will also have some professional experience with young children, and the ability to work independently and take initiative in the classroom.    



Toddler Class Teacher

Part time salaried position with benefits
Hours:  8:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Thursday
             8:00am-3:00pm Friday

Job Description
:  The teacher will work with the class's second teacher in developing and implementing a developmentally-appropriate and individualized curriculum for the students.  He/she will also assist with student observation and assessment and identify and prepare materials to support the academic and language curricula.  The class is taught in English but the teacher will need to introduce either Spanish or English vocabulary during the course of the day, using songs or activities. 

Qualifications: Fluency in English and basic knowledge of either French or Spanish.  Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher.  Successful candidates will also have some professional experience with young children, and the ability to work independently and take initiative in the classroom.




Substitutes:


We are always looking for qualified substitutes for our various programs!   

Minimum Qualifications

  • Foreign language proficiency is not required, but a working knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
  • At least one semester course in the areas of child development or early childhood education
     
  • Some experience working with preschoolers, preferably in a group setting .
