We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

  • After Care Teachers
    The ISC is hiring energetic, caring teachers to develop our growing Extra Care program to begin in August 2011.  Our Extra Care team provides a fun, nurturing environment for children ages 2-6 years old.  Enthusiasm, patience, flexibility, and a love of cultures are required, as is a Bachelor's degree or higher.  Our Extra Care programs are conducted in English, so foreign language fluency is not required.  However, proficiency in French and/or Spanish is a plus.Full or Part-time (afternoons) position based on applicant interest and the school's needs.Please apply directly to the Head of School (see below).

  • Substitute Teachers
    We are always looking for substitute teachers to help out with our various programs.  Foreign language fluency is not required, but knowledge of French and/or Spanish is a plus.  Applicants should have at least one semester (or equivilent) of training in Early Childhood Education and some experience working with young children, preferably in a group setting.

  • Teaching Interns
    When possible, we welcome volunteers from UVA and other area schools as interns in our classrooms.  Interns should apply directly to our Head of School.  Because classroom volunteers are required to meet a strict set of standards, training, and background checks before working with our young children, we ask that only those willing and able to make a regular commitment apply for a teaching internship at the ISC.
  • Extracurricular Teachers and Programs
    The ISC is expanding it's afternoon programs to provide meaningful artistic, athletic, musical, and language-focused opportunities for our young students.  If you teach or coach young children and would like to explore a partnership with the ISC, please contact the Head of School.
